The hookless inner rim also creates a smoother interface between the tire and the rim for better aerodynamics, and creates a rounder tire shape and larger contact patch that increases flat prevention, sidewall support, and traction. Bladed, straight-pull Sapim CX-Ray stainless steel spokes improve the aerodynamic performance of the wheel, and work with the Dynamic Balanced Lacing pattern to boost lateral stiffness and reduce the rotational weight. Additionally, the straight pull spoke design eliminates potential spoke breakage at the hub, and the hub rolls on low friction precision sealed bearings for impressively low rolling resistance and minimal maintenance.
